One of the most important things you can do is make sure people know that they can trust you — and give them a reason why they should trust you. People are very skeptical so be sure to clearly spell out why they should listen to you by telling a compelling and true story.
People want to trust you, but they've been burned so many times that they're apprehensive. Trust is like the air we breath. As Warren Buffett said after a large securities trading scandal about trust (being like air):
When it's present, nobody really notices. But when it's absent, everybody notices.
You need to treat trust like the air we breathe: Keep your reputation clean or else your subscribers and you will perish.
