Below is a list of internet marketing tools and resources I will add to as I find new cool stuff. The aim is all these will be free (or offer a free version) tools available as applications for your desktop and/or phone/mobile device.

Artificial Intelligence

ChatGPT – My newest favorite tool. It does it all, from blog outlines, to creating a website SILO structure, to writing full blog posts with formatting. It's amazing! Check out my ChatGPT Resources page to see how I'm using it.

ChatPDF – Drag & Drop any PDF file into the chat and you'll get a pretty fast summary.

Claude.ai – I really like this one! Similar to ChatGPT, it often gives me better output. I use it every day for writing YouTube descriptions, tags, hashtags, and titles, as well as for writing blog posts for podcasts — all from the podcast/video transcript!

ColdIQ – A massive list of AI tools (not vetted by me. YMMV.)

Word Hero – use AI to generate original blog posts, ads, sales copy, emails, and more. I use this extensively.

Emojis

App Emojis – it's what it says it is.

Emojipedia – ditto.

SEO tools

Campaign URL Builder – Not really an SEO tool, per se, but this one will help you track HOW people got to your site.

Extract Page Title, Description and Keywords from URLs – It does what it says it will do.

Free SEO Tools – a whole host of neat tools SEO pros can use. It's the “mini Swiss Army knife” for SEO.

Pingdom Tools – Enter a URL to test the page load time, analyze it, and find bottlenecks.

Who Hosts This Site? – It does what it says it will do.

Cool Utilities

12ft Ladder – Prepend 12ft.io/ to the URL of any paywalled page, and we'll try our best to remove the paywall and get you access to the article.

Business Name Generator (aka namelix) – neat tool to generate fun business names based on words you use to convey the “meaning” of your business.

CuePrompter – Provides teleprompter for your desktop. Copy/paste into the teleprompter window and it opens a window where your text scrolls up your desktop screen. Great for Zoom meetings and anywhere else you may want to read your script.

Free Video Converter – easily convert video formats.

GZIP Checker – This test will check whether your website (and ultimately the server your website is hosted on) has GZIP or Brotli enabled by connecting to your domain and requesting the necessary information. Next to that it will also give you some additional information, like the file size of the original version of the web page you test and how much you (may) benefit from using GZIP compression.

Magic Eraser – easily remove stuff from images, just like using an eraser.

My Font – Find out what font a website is using. Neat and pretty accurate.

Thumbs Up – lets you test YouTube thumbnails and Titles before you upload them to make sure they look right and fit correctly.

Tools That Solve Your Files Problem – Free PDF, Video, Image & Other Online Tools – TinyWow

VLC – a media player that does it all! Click here to learn how to download a video that has been published on YouTube. Once in a while, a client cannot find the original video so I have to resort to using this for that purpose.

XSplit – very cool webcam video background remover that you can use virtually everywhere.

YouTube Subscribe Link – this tool helps build your subscriber list in YouTube by creating a link that pops up a Subscribe button in YouTube.
