There are a lot of differing opinions on using pop-ups or pop-ins with opt-in forms. If you have a pop-up on your webpage, a box will come onto the screen with your opt-in form when someone visits. Some of these even darken the rest of the webpage so that the only thing people can really see is the opt-in form. This is called a “light box.”
Keep in mind that some potential customers will find this annoying and will simply leave your page. Still, many marketers have found that it greatly increased their opt-in rates. This is something you will have to test.
As I alluded to in Tip #43, I use Thrive Leads to build my opt-in forms. You can build all sorts of forms with it. It's a must-have tool for building your email subscriber list.
We just started using this tool on our website. It appears to be very valuable though it is too new for us to fully understand how well it is working. Thanks for providing this valuable tip.
Thanks for stopping by, Matthew. It does take some traffic to see how well it’s working.
