After my recent “issue” with Google and YouTube (one in the same nowadays but like a multiple personality sociopath), I decided I'd show you how to set up a Google Hangout On Air (which I love, by the way) using Google+ and YouTube.
Please tweet out –

Things to keep in mind (see “issue” above):
- Your YouTube account has to be in good standing all across the board (i.e., no flags in the community, no copyright issues).
- You need a G+ account.
- You need a website to follow the embedding instructions.
The video below shows you how to set up a Google Hangout On Air (HOA) using both Google Plus (Events) and YouTube.
It's a simple process but best learned by watching somebody else do it (once or more), then trying it out yourself.
The end result is that you have a video “placeholder” in the following areas:
- Your YouTube channel
- Your Google Plus Events page
- Your website
A nifty little feature is that there will be a countdown timer on the video if somebody tries to “play” it before you open up the Hangout (i.e., before you “go live”).
Watch the video.
