As you may know, if you follow the "internets," Facebook is kind of a big deal. The site has more than 400 million active users. Read that again:

  • More than 400 million active users
  • 50% of active users log on to Facebook in any given day

(Statistics are directly from Facebook, or FB – direct link here)

FacebookThese are startling statistics. If you are a Facebook user, you have immediate access to 400 million people. One of the many ways to market your brand or business on Facebook is through "fan pages." This is one of the many quirky Facebook features that you can use to connect with your actual and potential business partners, visitors, and customers.

Today, I will show you the quick and easy way to create a Facebook fan page for your website. It's really easy:{{{*}}}

  1. Click this link – Create a Page for My Business
  2. Choose "Band, Product, or Organization"
  3. In the drop-down box, choose website
  4. Give it a name in the textbox titled "Name of page"
  5. Finally, click the button, "Create Page"

That's it.

I suggest you DO THIS NOW.

Here's why (again, figures are from Facebook) –

  • More than 3 million active Pages on Facebook
  • More than 1.5 million local businesses have active Pages on Facebook
  • More than 20 million people become fans of Pages each day
  • Pages have created more than 5.3 billion fans

It's still relatively easy to get a fan page with your preferred name. I've done it several times (Muscle-Build, Money Hacks, Rants 'n Reviews, and Photo Dodo, to name a few).

Get your page now. In the next installment, I'll show you what to do with it. The general idea is to get your website or blog to update your fan page automatically so that you only do work once. You should also do special things for Facebook users. You should also tailor some messages to your specific audience. More on that later.
