A while back, I made the following YouTube video that showed how and where to update your Yoast WordPress SEO plugin settings to take advantage of “Google Authorship.”

Things have changed a bit, but I'm too lazy to re-shoot the video. So I'll explain where the changes are.

  1. First off, you have to install and activate the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin. Duh, right?
  2. Next, on the left-hand side of your WordPress dashboard, click on “SEO.”
  3. Then “Social.”
  4. Then click on the Google+ tab.
  5. THAT'S where you need to input your Google+ profile URL and your Google+ page URL (if you have one).

  • Thanks for the tip, Bill. I have been using WordPress for my Coral Gables Real Estate blog for about four years. Just signed up for a Google+ account. Was looking on how I would link it to my blog. Came across this post. Appreciate your help.

    • Thant’s awesome, Ashley! Make sure you read the instructions as well as watch the video. I haven’t made time to update the video since the location of the Google+ authorship information has changed with the latest updates from Yoast.
