Backlink Search Tool

Backlink Search ToolThis is a work in progress. There will be updates to it as I discover more and better ways to find websites that are set up to accept comments and/or give a backlink.

NOTE: I have made a Chrome app that you can install in your browser (Google's Chrome browser only). You can find that here. This is NOT an extension – it's an actual browser app that you add to your browser that then puts a link in your “chrome://apps/” directory.

The main benefit of doing this is that you don't have to remember or bookmark the URL. It's always right there in your browser.

By the way, if you like the tool, please leave a review in the Chrome Web Store.

Backlink Search Tool

While I'm testing the BST, it's free, so please use it and tell me what you think.

Very brief instructions:

  • Leave keyword blank for broadest matches, insert keyword to narrow your search or to find more relevant blogs on which to comment
  • Enter your search term (if warranted), then press the ENTER key or the Search button

WP with Top Commenter plugin. This is a well-known and popular plugin.

CommentLuv plugin. This is a very popular WP plugin made especially for comments. This plugin seeks out your last blog post and automatically gives you a deep backlink to your last blog post (two links for the work of one!)

KeywordLuv. Another comment plugin that is widely used. You can get a backlink with your chosen keywords in the anchor text.

  • I am genuinely grateful to the owner of this website who has shared this great article at here.

  • We are a bunch of volunteers and starting a new scheme
in our community. Your website provided us with useful info to work on. You’ve performed a formidable task
and our whole group can be grateful to you.

  • With havin sso much written content do you ver
run into any issues of plagorism oor copyright violation? My site has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either
authorerd myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all ove the web
without my permission. Do you know aany ways to help protect against content from being
    stolen? I’d certainly appreciate it.

  • Bill Davis says:

A couple ways: file a DMCA claim with the offending website’s host. Webhosts generally take suspend the account of the offender and make them take the stolen content down before restoral. The second way is to place a link back to your site within the content – this doesn’t guard against illegal use, but it does give you a backlink 🙂 and if you monitor those, you can find out when it happens (and it happens a lot more often than you think).

  • Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Spending some time and
actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I hesitate a
whole lot and don’t seem to get anything done.

  • Good web site you have here.. It’s difficult to find quality writing
like yours these days. I really appreciate people like you!
    Take care!!

  • Richard says:

Really thankfull for the information but the search does not seem to point anywhere.

  • Bill Davis says:

Well, that’s interesting. Can you tell me exactly what you did, Richard?

I just ran a search using the tool and I got sent to a Google search results page. Seems to be working to me. Maybe a glitch when you ran it?

  • What’s up, I read your blogs daily. Your humoristic style is awesome,
    keep it up!
