As you may know, WordPress has the dubious distinction of pinging the updating services you have in your "Writing" preferences in your WordPress control panel whenever you create or edit a blog post.

If you're like me, you may make a dozen edits before you are satisfied with your post. And silly me, I always publish the post after an edit and then I go take a look at it!

If I didn't have the following WP plugin, I would probably have all my pinging accounts suspended.

It's called cbnetPingOptimizer and I talk about it in the video below.

This one really allows me to maximize my SEO efforts by allowing me to ping as many sites as possible every time I publish a new post. However, it saves me from getting slapped by the pinging services simply because I've got it configured to ping the services ONLY when the post is new.

Pretty cool!
