List Building 101 Tip #50

One of the best ways to make sure you have a good handle on what a squeeze page should look like is to visit other marketers' squeeze pages. You can see what kind of headlines they used, what their copy looks like, and whether they used opt-in box graphics. That way you can just put a spin on things that are already working.

Remember this critical marketing “secret” – Don't fix what ain't broken.

Every time you subscribe to another marketer's list, “swipe” their copy, opt-in form, and offer. Literally save those pages to a place on your hard drive that you can retrieve down the road to modify and “repurpose” (don't ever just copy).

You can also take note of what you think is harming their conversions and improve things for your own squeeze page.

  • Great tip. I have saved many emails from people in my niche and emails from great marketers. But then I don’t take the time to read them and use them when I am writing my own emails. For me, all the different steps seems to take so much time. But you are so right, don’t fix what’s not broken, and use what’s already out there that is working.

    Warmly,
